After 58 years Nigerian use rail take transport fresh tomatoes from Kano to Lagos.



Yesterday, March 14th fresh tomatoes land Lagos by rail after 58 years.


Naija businessman, wey na Emmanuel Itoya Ijwere, yarn this one for the First Bank Agric Expo 2017, wey shelle for Eko Hotel and Suits today Wednesday.

Emmanuel Itoya Ijwere, yarn say, the trail leave Kano for about 10am yesterday, con say by 10pm this evening, the trail go enter Lagos.

Ijwere still yarn say, Naija don lost 2.8 million tones of tomatoes inside 2016.

"The tarin left Kano at about 10am yesterday. As at 11am today, it has arrived Osun and by 10pm this evenng, it will be in Lagos. This is happening for the first time in 58 years."
